Einat is the director and owner of Balanceo, she started the brand nearly 7 years ago as part of her ongoing search for the “PERFECT” fit of tango shoes. Balanceo is based in London and for the last 7 years has had the ability to cover all the UK market. Today, Einat has kindly agreed to share with us a brief comment about her experiences. Einat es la directora y dueña de Balanceo. Ella comenzó la marca hace casi 7 años como parte de su búsqueda del ajuste “PERFECTO” de los zapatos de tango. Balanceo tiene su sede en Londres y durante los últimos 7 años ha tenido la capacidad de cubrir todo el mercado del Reino Unido. 1. What is it that dancers look for when they want to buy shoes? (Que es lo que la gente busca en unos zapatos?)

The first thing that people are looking when they want to buy shoes is comfort! There are many brands which offer lovely looking shoes but the structure of the shoe is incorrect. The structure of the shoe is what make the shoe, stable, aligned and balanced. Another factor is the upper part of the shoe which is the part that provides support for the feet. As we know, we all have different shape to our feet from our width to special requirements such as bunions (very common with dancers), extra long or short toes, high arches etc… all this needs to be taken into account when choosing the right size, width and model.

Lo primero que buscan las personas cuando quieren comprar zapatos es la comodidad! Hay muchas marcas que ofrecen zapatos de aspecto encantador, pero la estructura del zapato es incorrecta. La estructura del zapato es lo que hace al zapato, estable, alineado y equilibrado. Otro factor es la parte superior del zapato, que es la parte que le da soporte al pie. Como sabemos, todos tenemos formas diferentes de nuestros pies desde nuestro ancho hasta requisitos especiales como juanetes (muy comunes con bailarines), dedos largos o cortos, arcos altos, etc … todo esto debe tenerse en cuenta al elegir el tamaño correcto, ancho y modelo.

2. What colours or styles are preferred? (Que colores o estilos son los favoritos?)

The most popular colours are Black neutral, silver and gold shades. Once we have those then we start adding other colours to our collections. Normally, red would follow as it is a very popular colour too.

Los colores más populares son el negro neutro, plata y dorado. Una vez que los tenemos, comenzamos a agregar otros colores a nuestra coleccion. Normalmente, el rojo es el que segue ya que también es un color muy popular.

3. Where are the shoes made in? (Donde son fabricados estos zapatos?)

Our shoes are all hand made. From the cutting of the leathers all the way to the insertion on the heels. Some years ago I came across a small production in Italy, I decided to join forces and together we developed our brand. All of our shoes are fabricated by Italian artisans, of course in Italy.

Nuestros zapatos son todos hechos a mano. Desde el corte de las pieles hasta la inserción en los talones. Hace algunos años me encontré con una pequeña fabrica en Italia, y decidí unir fuerzas y juntos desarrollamos la marca. Todos nuestros zapatos están fabricados por artesanos italianos, por supuesto en Italia.

4. Is it possible to ask for customisation? (Es posible ajustar los zapatos?)

We are able to make custom made shoes. For example, we can let clients choose the leather combinations, the heel height and (of course) we custom make the shoe to fit. It is very important for it to be THE PERFECT FIT.

Tenemos la capacidad de hacer zapatos a la medida. Por ejemplo, podemos permitir que los clientes elijan las combinaciones de cuero, la altura del talón y (por supuesto) que hagamos el calzado a la medida. Es muy importante que sea EL AJUSTE PERFECTO.

5. How can dancers buy “Balanceo” shoes? (Como pueden los bailarines comprar zapatos con “Balanceo”?)

You can purchase our shoes via our website (www. balanceo.co.uk) or dancers can also visit our weekly pop up shops located all over the country. We also have the ability to ship our shoes to all over the world. We are always happy to get in touch by phone or email. We can also arrange time to meet and let dancers try the shoes.
I would also like to mention that what make us so unique and different from any other brands is the comfort and the amazing stability of our shoes. They are very light less than 500 g. and all the weight of the shoe is at the heel . Exactly where it needs to be. Our shoes are like a second skin .
